Translunacy - January 13 1999 This theme was created using theme.handler-lathi-0.3-1, and should be installed by using installastheme.pl from the same package. It is available from 1.6.0 of AfterStep in the /AfterStep-1.6.0/tools/ or from ftp.afterstep.org/themes/. The background was obtained from Microsoft Plus! and enlarged by myself; All copyrights are retained by Microsoft and the image is not to be used for commercial purposes. My pager is set in the database file to be "NoTitle, Sticky, StaysOnTop, WindowListSkip, NoHandles". You'll also notice that the *PagerDesktopImage for all desktops is set to be the same for all desks - this saves alot of memory and load time. There are 4 small images for the *PagerImage, these being used to preoduce a fake transparency of my Pager - which never moves, so static images work for me. I have two Wharfs, one with app launchers and the other with wm.apps (wmppp, wminet, wmmixer, wmcdplay, wmmon [x2], and asclock); each with a different tile. The apps in the screenshot are: 1) upper left: aterm capturing the console messages: ( -geometry 68x5+0+0 -tr -cr "#191970" -fg white -fn modd-12 -sl 10 \ -title xconsole -name xconsole +sb -C & ) 2) upper right: aterm running a logwatch script: ( aterm -geometry 120x5-64+0 -tr -cr "#191970" -fg white -fn modd-12 \ -sl 50 -title logwatch -name logwatch +sb -e su - & ) 3) center right: BitchX in an Eterm 4) lower middle: 2 Eterms - user and root Additional Notes: This screenshot is using the 1.7.25 development version of AfterStep, which can be obtained from devel/snapshots/ on the ftp site of afterstep.org . The theme.handler will not pick up the required modifications to the wharf file for the "translucent" look, so this is left as an exercise for the reader. :) If you'd like my icons in the wharf, I'd be happy to make those available as well. That's about it, if you have questions or comments, I can be reached via email at either davemann@ionet.net or webmaster@afterstep.org .
