--------------------- asfatm 0.34 - AfterStep Fan and Temperature Monitor --------------------- What it is: ----------------- asfatm is an AfterStep dock app which is capable of displaying system temp and up to three fan speeds depending on what type of hardware monitoring chips and hardware you have installed in your box. asfatm is released under the GNU General Public License. See file COPYING for more info. What you need: ----------------- In order to run asfatm you need: a. lm_sensors 2.3.X (http://www.netroedge.com/~lm78) b. one of the following hardware monitoring chips: 1. lm78 2. lm78-j 3. lm79 4. lm80 5. w83781d 6. w83782d 7. w83783s c. a window manager like AfterStep or WindowMaker bugs: ----------------- I've only compiled and ran asfatm on my machine which has 2 fans plugged into an abit bh6 mainboard with an lm79 on it. I haven't found any bugs using the lm79, but the code for the other chips is untested. If you successfully get asfatm running on your machine using other chipsets, please email me with your hardware configuration. If you discover a bug, email me the specifics of what is happening. There will probably be some problems with correct display readings until I get some feedback of what asfatm is doing with other chipsets. Asfatm works on my machine, I have no idea what it will do on others. contact: ----------------- asfatm homepage: http://krypton.mankato.msus.edu/~turnet1 email : turnet1@mail.mankato.msus.edu
