8.2. NsCDE 1.X Key Bindings

This subsection explains key bindings implemented in the deprecated "nscde1x" set of key bindings. For those who are using this set, this subsection applies as documentation of key bindings.

This mechanism was still experimental in NsCDE 2.1 and the only implemented set of keybindings was this one - nscde1x (called "nscde" in NsCDE 2.1). The following section lists and explains key bindings implemented in that set. In version 2.2 of NsCDE, IBM CUA compliant set is implemented as an new default choice to old "nscde1x" set of keybindings. Please bear in mind that references to the key bindings in all other parts of this documentation are reffering to "cua" model, not this one.
