Scientific Linux Super Duper Install/Rescue CD Version 3.0.1 May 10, 2004 

cd-r/cd-rw requirements

  This iso image requires a cdr/cdrw that can hold at least 210MB.  The small
  8cm cdr/cdrw products available come in either 185MB or 210MB sizes.  You
  need the 210MB size to hold this image.  Memorex sells a product called
  "Pocket CD-R" which is available in the 210MB size.  You could always use
  the standard size cd-r/cd-rw.  Note that since this is a iso image if you 
  use a "Windows" system to burn the cdr you should select "image burn".

FEATURES

  Installation of Scientific Linux 3.0.1 

    This cd image was designed to install Scientific Linux.  

      To install Scientific Linux 3.0.1 just boot the cd and either press 
      return or wait for the timeout of the boot loader.

    We have added some popular images to this cd.  There are "rescue", 
    utilities

    We have added FreeBSD and FreeDOS images.

            Description:     Small Linux system for the purpose of system
                             booting or repairing, a boot/rescue system.

		 It has PCMCIA/LVM2/RAID and Ethernet/cable/dsl/ppp/pppoe
		 networking support!

		 It has large file support, you can use all the programs
		 for files larger than 2GB! The programs e2fsck, mke2fs, and
		 tune2fs have ext3 filesystem support.

                 It includes the fat16/32, ext2/3, reiserfs, and ntfs
		 partition resizing programs 'parted, ext2resize, resize2fs,
		 resize_reiserfs, ntfsresize'.

                 It also includes the partition image program 'partimage'
                 which saves partitions in the ext2, ext3, reiserfs, jfs,
		 xfs, ufs, ntfs, fat16, and fat32 formats to an image
                 file. Only used blocks are copied to save space and
                 increase the speed. The image file can be compressed,
                 in gzip or bzip2 formats.

		 It also includes the 'mc' file manager!

	    dump/restore, reiserfsck, fdisk, cfdisk, sfdisk, mke2fs, e2fsck,
            tune2fs, debugfs, mkfs.xfs, jfs_mkfs, jfs_fsck, xfs_repair, 
            cdrecord/dvdrecord, mkisofs, dvd+rw-format, growisofs, ntfsresize,
            mkntfs, losetup + AES encryption, lynx, mutt, fetchmail, ncftp, 
            epic irc, tin, telnet, wget, zgv, testdisk, smbclient, smbmount, 
            ssh/sshd, rsync, udp-sender/receiver, lde, blesstivo, chntpw, 
            cmospwd, grub, grubconfig, smartctl, cdrwtool, mkudffs, pktsetup.

	    cmospwd is a cmos/bios password recovery tool.
	    Read /usr/doc/RIP/cmospwd.txt.

            NOTE: It's based on slackware, you can install packages from 
            slackware 9.0 or later!      
            Only use /sbin/installpkg on RIP to install slackware packages!
